Audition for a Performing Choir

Grades 5 - 12

Next audition date: December 2026 (exact date TBD)

Concert Choir, Intermezzo Choir, & Chamber Choir

Here are some exercises we may do in auditions for rising 5th-12th grade singers:

-Vocal warm-up: various vocal exercises, singing on neutral syllables, determining range

-Tonal memory- echo: sing a few notes played for them on the piano

-Sing the melody of "My Country 'Tis of Thee" or "The Star Spangled Banner"

-Sing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" in a round with the teacher
