Bio

Jason has been involved in church music most of his life, beginning as a child attending services and rehearsals with his grandmother, who was herself an organist and choir director. By the time he was in high school, he was playing for services at a nearby church. He pursued music in college, earning a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from LSU and a Master of Music degree in organ performance from the University of North Texas.

Originally from Metairie, Louisiana, Jason has served churches in New Orleans, Dallas, and Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.  He currently serves as Organist and Director of Instrumental Ensembles at First Presbyterian Church in Tuscaloosa.

Jason enjoys performing and has presented recitals for the Dallas Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and the New Orleans Chapter of the Organ Historical Society. He has appeared on the concert series of several churches as well as the L'Organo recital series of the Piccolo Spoleto Festival. When he's not practicing, Jason enjoys attending concerts and staying active.
